IMPROVING WORKSPACE

This office building is located in downtown Athens, on a central boulevard. Public space merges harmoniously with the entrance hall on the ground floor. On the upper floors as well, the outdoor space forms part of the building, providing all office areas with natural light and ventilation. The building was nominated for a Greek and a European Architecture Award.

We acted out of the box for the typical law firm office style palettes. Design and materials were kept as simple and straightforward as possible. The minimalistic space is enhanced by an extraordinary collection of photography artwork. White walls, minimal frame glass partitions and natural cork flooring.

Emphasis was given to advanced network systems as well as to acoustics’ issues. Exposed concrete ceilings with evident e/m installations were sufficient for the private office spaces on the upper floors, whereas sound absorbing ceiling paneling were used in the front office spaces, the conference rooms and the open plan back office workspace of the ground floor. Lighting design was based on customized solutions and products, compatible with the project’s minimalistic character.

Interior design with a trendy feeling for a bank’s IT department office space, that will host no less than a thousand employees.

A rather playful design approach contrasts to the strict geometry of the building. Suspended metal beams, that draw colorful curved lines on the ceilings, take part in the open plan layout and are being playfully used in various ways, such as to suspend metal-fabric curtains to form private corners, glass panels as writing boards, etc.

This is an extension of the ELVAL S.A. administration office building situated at the front of the company’s plant in Oinofyta. The original building dates back to 1980 and provides 1,800 sq.m. of workspace arranged on 4 floors.

The addition aims to double the area and will form a separate “new wing”. In between the two “wings” a central entrance hall will take on main distribution of interior circulation, both vertically and horizontally. An opaque curtain of perforated aluminum panels will be applied to the facades, wrapping the two wings together, to unify the different eras as well as to provide workspace with shade.

Renovation and adaptive reuse of an existing commercial building to house a contemporary bank branch. This branch will be characterized by the curtain walls on its façades, made of shiny bronze-colored tubular metal rods of various diameters, that in turn form a filtering pattern that challenges transparency versus privacy.

A face-lift and renovation to a bank-branch building that was designed in the 80s by the renowned architect Kyriakos Kyriakides. Enhancement of the overall image of the branch, by changing the facades as well as the interiors’ aesthetics, following the bank’s latest brand image, and improvement of the workspace and flow according to the new services’ interface, while paying respect to the initial character of the building.
